TESTIMONIALS
“Interning at Alive was a very different experience than I expected. I had the option to design my internship around my interests and what I wanted to learn, which was exciting.
I’d worried it was going to be senior staff telling me to do random things they didn’t feel like doing, but not at all! Instead every staff member has been incredibly supportive of me and what I wanted to get out of the internship as a whole.”
“I loved my internship at Alive! It gave me the opportunity to engage with the teens through various activities, and utilize all of the extensive resources provided at Alive!
I really liked how the Alive Center puts a huge emphasis on inclusion, as this seems to be such an important aspect I noticed each day while talking with the teens.”
“I have loved my internship because of the friendly environment. Everyone works as a team and I have built great relationships and connections.
This Internship has made me more open and step out of my comfort zone as well as gain knowledge in rapport building and other skills related to my field of study.”
“I enjoy the endless opportunities to try and explore new things. Any ideas I have, I can share and feel supported. They allow us to try new things with very little limits.
It is nice being surrounded by such kind, positive, and supportive people.”
“The center has such a great energy about it from the staff to the teens, it is a place I want to be and look forward to being at.
The staff is really so great and being able to learn from so many different people with different skills and knowledge really makes me feel like I have a greater perspective.”
