About Joey

Joey is mechanical engineer with a degree from Iowa State University. Currently, he is a Design Engineer for Nicor Gas in Naperville. Growing up in Naperville he recognized how fortunate he was to have such an amazing community with such expansive resources. Now his focus is on ensuring the youth of today have access to even better tools to foster their growth as impassioned, resilient leaders of tomorrow.

About Erin

Erin is the Director of People Operations at Dealer Inspire where she oversees a team of 560+ employees managing satisfaction, growth, performance, and everything in-between. Outside of work she loves cooking, crafting and spending time with her two boys.

Kaitlyn Hedger

About Kaitlyn

As Operations Manager at Midwest Legacy Group, Kaitlyn drives agency success through advisor collaboration and client engagement. She aides in bringing comprehensive financial strategies to fruition while managing the day-to-day operations of the agency.  With a BA in Communication and Experience Design from the University of Indianapolis, she is a key to developing an unmatched client experience. Kaitlyn enjoys helping teens create a safe and engaging place to grow. She also enjoys coaching with Illinois Impact, an elite travel softball program out of Northern Illinois. More than anything, she is passionate about exploring new places and building new connections.

TJ Tunnell

About TJ

TJ works has worked as a software engineer for CommScope (formerly known as Arris) since 2016.    Prior to starting this job, he was a computer science student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  TJ has always known he wanted to do something with computers and spent many, many hours tinkering with technology all throughout growing up.  He is excited to be on the Alive Ambassador board so that he can help keep Alive a great place to inspire kids and teens to pursue their dreams

Nabila Qadri

About Nabila

Being born and raised in Naperville, Nabila Qadri has taken every opportunity in stride. While attending Naperville North High School, she served on the boards of many service as well as leadership organizations. While in high school, Nabila served as the President of Alive Center’s Student Advisory Board and founded its well accomplished Mentorship Program in 2016. Nabila has been recognized with the Prudential Youth Spirit of Community Award, the Ted Brattin Civic Youth Award, and the Naperville Jaycee’s Distinguished Student Award throughout the years. Now Nabila is pursuing her Doctorate in Pharmacy at Midwestern University after completing her accelerated program at Benedictine University. She hopes to give back to the community that has given her so much. 

Shannon Kollasch

About Shannon

Shannon is a recent graduate of Northwestern University and an Associate Consultant at the start-up firm Sharma Strategy Group. She is passionate about organizational development.  Her success planning and executing a 500-person college formal at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago (and stressing out when the busses got last-minute delayed), growing a cooking club from 10 people to 250 over one year (and learning how to make macarons… but I’m still not that great at it) and developing a mentorship program for my materials science & engineering class (to build a concrete foundation and steel ourselves against failure! Her latest passion is to work towards lowering educational inequality and increasing youth empowerment. Shannon is the founder of tutoring organization pairing Chicago teens with virtual university-student tutors.

Julian Dover

About Julian

Julian is a software developer at Exelon Corporation working in the nuclear fuels department in the BWR core design methods group. I am from Chicago, Illinois. I attended North Carolina A&T State University where I earned my degree in Computer Engineering. A little about myself is I like to network, work out, and try different restaurants throughout Chicago. My biggest achievements were being able to fund my way through college without any financial support from family members by receiving almost 30 thousand dollars in scholarships. I am responsible for the DTSQA (Digital Technology Software Quality Assurance) of an Exelon innovation, Digital Fuel Move Sheets, which is an application used fleet-wide to digitally track and document all movement of nuclear fuel at our stations. I also developed several automation codes to improve the efficiency of work practices in the Nuclear Fuels Department.

Hanna Langston

About Hanna

Hanna is a Marketing Director for the Bill Jacobs Auto Group, where she oversees the
marketing for six dealerships. Originally from Detroit, Hanna’s passion for cars and
marketing started in college. After graduation, Hanna spent 4 years living in Alberta
Canada and eventually ended up in Chicago. Hanna is passionate about community
outreach and ensuring the dealerships she represents have a solid footprint in the
communities we serve. Outside of work, Hanna enjoys spending time with family and
friends and her dog, Soprano.

Andrew Macejak

About Andrew

Drew Macejak holds a Masters of Education from Huntington University. He has been married for 12 years to his beautiful wife Janessa. They moved back to the area last year, after living in China for the past 6 year. While there, he worked as a Middle School and High School English teacher. He loves to read, enjoys cooking and loves traveling. Most importantly, he has a strong passion for teens, helping them grow and develop into strong, compassionate and connected young adults.

About Allison

I’m Allison. I grew up in St. Charles, IL and went to Western Michigan University for my undergrad where I studied Secondary Education. A year ago, I felt inspired to change my career path and transitioned into the Financial Service industry. Today, I am a relationship manager and program coordinator on a business and growth consulting team for one of the top RIA firms. I am a very creative and compassionate person with an entrepreneurial spirit. I am extremely career driven, but my family always comes first in my life. My parents still live in St. Charles, and I have an older sister in Indianapolis whom I visit often. When I am not working or with my friends, I am often busy being super “aunt” to my three adorable little cousins

Oscar Guzman

About Oscar

Oscar Guzmán is eager to join the Alive Ambassador Committee. In his professional experiences, Oscar currently serves as a school counselor at Naperville North High School. In his role, Oscar is passionate about addressing mental health awareness throughout the school building and acting as an advocate for the community’s Spanish-speaking families to ensure belongingness and academic success for all students.  Oscar first earned his Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies and English at Marquette University. Soon after, Oscar earned his Masters of Education in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. As a first-generation student, Oscar is proud of his Mexican roots, and uses his unique experiences to encourage cross-cultural dialogue and acceptance. Oscar is passionate about creating and upholding inclusive spaces for all students, and he is looking forward to collaborating through the Alive Ambassador Committee and the larger-Naperville community to bring this aspiration to fruition.
