We’re more than a teen center.
Through FREE after-school Drop-In hours, tutoring, mentoring, STEM and creative programs, and teen-led initiatives, Alive™ Center helps youth develop the protective factors that support positive mental health before a crisis occurs.
Our evidence-informed approach fosters resilience, healthy relationships, purpose, and a strong sense of belonging. Alive™ Teen Centers serve tweens and teens in grades 5–12. Our programs are completely free and intentionally inclusive, welcoming all youth regardless of income, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, diagnosis, religion, or background.

At Alive™ Center, teens don’t just participate, they lead. Across our three teen centers in Naperville, Aurora, and Hanover Park, young people design programs, organize service projects, mentor younger peers, and make a meaningful impact in their communities while discovering their own passions, strengths, and leadership potential. Every experience is designed to empower teens to build confidence, find belonging, and become resilient leaders.

What Happens at the ALIVE Teen Centers?
Programs that focus on health, well-being, and building a stronger sense of community include free after-school drop-in activities, mentoring, tutoring (grades K-12 welcome), clubs, life skills classes, leadership opportunities, study lounge, teen-only events, empowerment programs and volunteer and job opportunities.
Teen Initiate programs consist of Junior High Mentoring, Girl Empowerment Club, S.T.E.M. Exploration Club, Robotics and S.T.E.M. groups, Tutoring by The Merry Tutor, Excel Service Club, Media Team, Alive™ Center with Pride and more
